Titus
Titus Chapter 1 opens with Paul reminding Titus that the Christian life is grounded in the truth of God’s Word, the hope of eternal life, and the faith once delivered to God’s people. Paul leaves Titus in Crete to set things in order and appoint faithful elders who can teach sound doctrine and guard the church from error.
This chapter emphasizes godly leadership, spiritual maturity, and the danger of false teachers. The message is clear: what a man believes must be reflected in how he lives. Sound doctrine is not only taught with words, but proven through character, obedience, and faithfulness.

Titus Chapter 2 turns from church leadership to the daily conduct of believers. Paul instructs older men, older women, younger women, younger men, and servants to live in a way that reflects sound doctrine and honors the Word of God. This chapter reminds us that grace does more than save us; it teaches us how to live. Believers are called to deny ungodliness, live soberly and righteously, and look for the blessed hope of Christ’s appearing. Titus Chapter 3 brings the letter into practical Christian living before the watching world. Paul reminds believers to be subject to authorities, ready for every good work, gentle toward others, and careful not to return to the foolishness and disobedience from which Christ delivered them.
This chapter also highlights the mercy of God in salvation. We are not saved by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Ghost. The message is clear: grace saves us, changes us, and teaches us to live fruitfully.
As Paul closes the letter, he warns against foolish disputes, divisive behavior, and unprofitable arguments. Titus Chapter 3 calls believers to remember who they were, rejoice in what God has done, and maintain good works that reflect the gospel in daily life.
